Pho, a rice noodle soup is a staple of Vietnamese cuisine. The soup includes rice noodles, thinly sliced meat and clear broth made by simmering beef bones, oxtails, flank steak, serving with onions, basil, lemon or lime, bean sprouts and peppers. There are several varieties of Pho such as Pho Bo, containing beef, and Pho Ga, containing chicken.

Cua Van Fishing Village

Cua Van Village lies in a calm bay surrounded y a thousand green isles, about 30km away from Bai Chay Harbour, situated at Hung Thang Commune, Ha Long City. There are 4 fishing villages in the World Heritage site: Ba Hang, Cua Van, Vong Vieng and Cap La. Cua Van is the largest with a total of 287 households and 1,283 people who mainly earn their livelihood by fishing.

Lan Ha bay

Lan Ha Bay is located to the east of Cat Ba Island .Its covers an area of more than 7,000 ha of which 5,400 ha is under the management of Cat Ba National Park.

Around 200 species of fish, 500 species of mollusc, 400 species of arthropod and numerous hard and soft coral live in Lan Ha Bay. Larger marine animals in the area include seals and three species of dolphin.

Vong Phu Mountain

Vong Phu Mountain ( or the Mountain of the Woman who is waiting her husband) is located not far from Lang Son, quite close to the Sino-Vietnamese border . At the top of mountain is a rock bearing the shape of standing woman holding her children on her arms.

Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park

Phong Nha - Ke Bang is a national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site recognised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) at its 27th general assembly session being held in Paris from June 30-July 5 .It protects one of the world's two largest karst regions with several hundred caves and grottoes. Its name derives from Phong Nha cave, the most beautiful one, with numerous fascinating rock formations, and Ke Bang forest. The plateau is probably one of the finest and most distinctive examples of a complex karst landform in Southeast Asia.

Cai be floating market

 Location:

The Cai be floating market is held where the Tien Giang river forms the border between the provinces of Tien Giang, Vinh Long and Ben Tre

 Characteristics:

Approximately 400 to 500 boats filled with fruits, vegetables, and other products are anchored along the banks of the river, from 5 am to 5 pm every day.

Hoa Lo Prison Museum Hanoi

Hoa Lo prison museum Hanoi  located in number 1, Hoa Lo  street on the corner with  Hai Ba Trung street, is all that remains of the former Hoa Lo Prison, ironically nicknamed the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ by US POWs during the American War. Those incarcerated at Hoa Lo included Pete Peterson, who would later become the first US Ambassador to Vietnam following the re-establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries in 1995.

Yok Don National park

Yok Don National park borders with  four communes in  Dak Lak province: Ea Bung and Chu M'Lanh communes- Ea Sup district, Krong Na commune- Buon Don district, and Ea Po commune, Cu Jut district. The park covers a flat plain that extends from eastern Cambodia into northern Dak Lak and southern Gia Lai provinces in Vietnam.

Thay Pagoda

Location: 

Situated at the foot of Sai Son Mountain in Phuong Cach Commune, Quoc Oai District in Ha noi.

Characteristics:  

The pagoda was built in the 11th century according to Sino-Vietnamese character Tam, managed by Priest Tu Dao Hanh.
