Valley of love
About 5km north of the centre of Dalat City. The beauty of the valley has become more poetic and seductive for travelers and lovers.
Just as true love has to surpass several obstacles, the Valley of Love in Dalathad to surpass many challenges in the past in order to gain its rightful name today. In the beginning, the valley was called Vallée D’amour (Valley of Love) by the French before being renamed The Valley of Piece. Love Valley Lost
I went back to Dalat for the first time in many years and made my way to one of my favorite haunts, Vong Canh Hill, to look across Love Valley. When I saw how much it had changed I remembered my friend saying “In the old days, each corner of Dalat was a poem. DaLat Vietnam
At the southern extremity of the Central Highlands is the city of Dalat. Originally built by the French colonists, Dalat still bears a passing resemblance to a French town, an impression that is diminishing as Vietnamese-style buildings proliferate.
Dalat can be reached by air, now both from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
The Central Highlands Vietnam
The Central Highlands of Vietnam
Much of the Central Highlands is a series of flat plateaux, mainly inhabited by various ethnic groups. Apart from Dalat, the tourist guide books are somewhat dismissive of the area. Many remarkable sights and attractions are not even mentioned, probably because they are too far off the regular tourist routes.
At present, this is a blessing for 365Travel's travellers because it provides an opportunity to visit one of Vietnam’s most fascinating areas without bumping into groups of tourists.
