Thung Nai, a new rising travel destination

Thung Nai is a well-known travel place in Hoa Binh province with many beautiful views. In the rainy seasons, it is considered as an inland Ha Long bay in the mountainous area. Moreover, it is still very beautiful in the dry season.

Thung Nai is a small commune beside Da river, of Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, about 25 km far from Hoa Binh city and about 110 km from Hanoi. The name Thung Nai is because in the past, there used to be many deer around this valley. “Nai” means “deer” in Vietnamese language.

Vietnam Travel Destinations: Mai Chau

Driving 139 km from Hanoi and 66 km from Hoa Binh province, the isolated Mai Chau is in a valley just over the biggest hump, about 10 km from the Song Da river and only 150 metres above the sea level.

From the top of Cun mountain, one can admire the superb panorama of Mai Chau surrounded by a green valley and stilt houses. There are many minorities living in Mai Chau, including Thai ethnic group.
