Major newspapers in Cambodia on November 16 carried on their front page articles and images of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s activities during his official visit to the country.
The “New Cambodia Daily” ran a title: “PM Nguyen Tan Dung’s visit marks a new development in friendly and co-operative ties between Vietnam and Cambodia” along with images of PM Dung reviewing honour guards at an official welcome ceremony at the Peace Palace .
Many other newspapers also highlighted main contents of the talks between the two PMs, including the agreement to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese business
es to invest in Cambodia and the acceleration of border demarcation for completion by the end of 2012.
They also said the signing of a payment agreement between the State Bank of Vietnam and the National Bank of Cambodia is a new step forward to further promote trade relations between the two countries.
