Vietnam participates in Malaysia charity fair
An international charity fair 2011 opened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on April 16, attracting thousands of local and foreign tourists.
On display were 50 arts and handicraft stalls from over 40 countries.
New grill in town
The restaurant which can seat up to 75 people offers a hundred Western and typical Vietnamese foods. Helen Nguyen Ayala, owner of the restaurant said “As an overseas Vietnamese who lived in the U.S for a long time, I always missed Vietnamese cuisine. I hope this restaurant will be an ideal venue for foreigners to enjoy their favorite Western foods but also discover the food culture of Vietnam.”

Overview
Vietnamese cuisine is a style of cooking derived from Vietnam with fish sauce, soy sauce, rice, fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables all commonly used. Vietnamese recipes utilize a diverse range of herbs, including lemongrass, mint, Vietnamese mint, long coriander and Thai basil leaves. Traditional Vietnamese cooking is greatly admired for freshness of the ingredients and for the healthy eating style.
The most common meats used in Vietnamese cuisine are beef, pork, chicken, fish, and various kinds of seafood. The Vietnamese also have a strong vegetarian tradition influenced by Buddhist and Chinese values.
