Exhibitors happy with HCMC Tourism Day
Travel companies joining the exhibition HCMC Tourism Day wrapping up on Sunday say they are happy with the three-day event as many customers have queued up to ask for information or book services.
Many companies such as Ben Thanh Tourist, Saigontourist Travel Services Co., Lien Bang Travelink, and TST Tourist said the number of people buying tours or planning to buy tourism services grew strongly compared to last year’s event.

Russ Swift to return HCMC to stunt show
After a successful show in Saigon Autotech 2010, HCMC audiences will have another breathless excitement with the great performances of the British Guinness World Record holder Russ Swift this June.
He currently holds an unbeaten record for precision driver, parallel parking, two-wheel driving and set a Guinness World Record for making 10 complete spins or “doughnuts” in just 14.59 seconds.
Three New Luxury Hotels For HCM City
On November 29, 2010, Saigontourist will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its five-star Pullman Saigon Center Hotel, complete the foundation for its four-star Novotel Saigon Center Hotel and inaugurate its four-star Liberty Central Hotel.
The total investment capital for the three hotels is about US$113 million. These three hotels belong to Que Huong Liberty Joint Stock Co., under the umbrella of Saigontourist Holding Company.
HCMC’s international food festival attracts 24 countries worldwide
Over 24 countries around the world will take part in an international food festival to be held in the end of the year, announced the City’s Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism on Tuesday.
The fifth “Taste of the world” festival 2010 will include 60 display booths, which will feature special dishes from around the world. In addition, it will offer a 10-50 percent discount at a certain time of the day (deemed the golden time) which is from 7pm to 9pm on December 31.
Café on HCMC’s Wall Street
Located in Nguyen Cong Tru Street sometimes known as HCMC’s Wall Street in District 1, Cocoon Café is furnished with vintage furniture to give it the classic living room touch.
Three seniors at the University of Architecture put together the café on the first floor of a French colonial style house.
