Yen Tu festival
It is still unknown about the exact time when the festival started. However, it is said that in the 17th century, there were a pagoda on the Yen Tu peak 1,068m high. In the pagoda, there were two bronze statues. And the pagoda was so holly at that time. Now, it isn’t there but people build another one in April 1994.

Every year, Yen Tu festival is held from 10th day of the first lunar month to the last day of the third lunar month. After the solemn opening ceremony at the foot of Yen Tu peak, tens of thousands of pilgrims started their journey to the top of the peak where Chùa Đồng (Bronze Pagoda) is located.

Along the path to the top of Yen Tu, there are many small pagodas, towers with the touching stories. It takes visitors 3 hours to climb to the top with a lot of energy.
Therefore, Yen Tu is the place which challenges Buddhists about their patience and braveness. Reaching Bronze Pagoda, people feel like they are walking on the cloud and standing in front of the heavenly gate. Visitors can have a wide view of the places below.

To the east, there is Halong bay with thousands of islets like series of pearls. To the south, it is Haiphong city with the imposing Bach Dang river like a long silk. To the west, there are vast plain regions of Hai Duong, Bac Ninh province. To the north are the mountain ranges. All these excite the pilgrims about the victory of overcoming the high peak.
