HA LONG:
Made up of 1,969 islands of various sizes, 989 of which have been given names. There are two kinds of islands, limestone and schist, which are concentrated in two main zones: the southeast (belonging to Bai Tu Long Bay), and the southwest (belonging to Ha Long Bay). This densely concentrated zone of stone islands, world famous for its spectacular scenery of grottoes and caves, forms the central zone of Ha Long Bay, which has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.EMERAUDE CLASSIC CRUISE:
In 1910 a paddle steamer called the Emeraude was offering unforgettable cruises in Ha Long Bay for visitors to what was then French Indochina. The Emeraude was part of a flotilla owned by the Roque family who had left Bordeaux in 1858 in search of adventure and fortune. Over a period of more than 50 years they found both. After several ups and downs including successful trading and timber businesses, near bankruptcy and being taken hostage by pirates, the Roque brothers built Emeraude, Perle, Saphir, Rubis and Onyx to ferry passengers and freight along the waterways of Indochina and cruise on magnificent Ha Long Bay. Today the Emeraude offers a regular cruise service on board a luxurious replica steamer with 38 cabins meticulously designed to evoke the nostalgic charm of colonial Indochina.
DAY 1: HANOI – HA LONG
08: 00: Transfer to Ha Long city for boat cruise on the Bay, stop on route to admire the landscape picture, you might take picture of buffalo boy.
11:30: Arrival Ha Long Bay.
11:45: Check in at the Emeraude Cafe in Ha Long City.
