DAY 1: VIENTIANE – ARRIVAL

Vientiene is a fascinating capital, with a fusion of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, and American influences. This charming and easygoing city will provide a smooth introduction to Laos. After a short rest, an orientation walk of the Lao Capital is a pleasant way to spend the day, strolling around some of the city’s most historical sites and seeing some of the French colonial architecture. DAY 2: VIENTIANE – LUANG PRABANG (FLIGHT)

Morning, after breakfast, we start to visit the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we will stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. From there, we visit the central or ‘Morning Market’ which is a great place for browsing antiques, handmade textiles and gifts. We then board our short flight to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage City of Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best - preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. On arrival, we transfer you to your hotel. After a short rest, we stroll around the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of textiles made by the local and the hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as viewing a beautiful and panoramic sunset over the Ancientcity and the Mekong River. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

DAY 3: LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU CAVE

Laos Pak Ou cave Vietnam Tours: 17 Days - The Untouched Laos, Vietnam & CambodiaAfter breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then board a cruise upstreamon the Mekong River, which gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. Lunch at local restaurant.
On our way back, we pass the local villages at Ban Xiengmene and Ban Chan continue to see the royal temple at Wat Longkhoun and Ban Phanom, a village well known for its hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang

DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG - HANOI  (FLIGHT)

Royal Palace Vietnam Tours: 17 Days - The Untouched Laos, Vietnam & CambodiaAn optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the ritual. Later, we visit the National Museum (closed Tuesdays) at the former Royal Palace.  It displays a collection of artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign. There will also be time for us to look around the Central Market. After visiting these sights in the morning, there may be free time (depending on your flight) to venture into town and stroll around the shopping area before transfer to the airport for flight departure to Hanoi.
Upon arrival in Noi Bai Airport, you are met and transferred to Hanoi city center for check-in hotel.

Afternoon, we visit Hoan Kiem with Ngoc Son Temple, take 1-hour Cyclo trip around with 36 streets of Ha Noi old quarter and enjoy the performance of the famous Vietnamese traditional art of water puppetry at Thang Long theatre. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

DAY 5: HANOI – HA LONG – HANOI

Ha Long Bay Royal Palace Vietnam Tours: 17 Days - The Untouched Laos, Vietnam & CambodiaDrive to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site (160km driving one way - 3.5hrs drive). This will be your first opportunity to see some of the rural areas of Vietnam. The drive goes through the Red River delta, so we'll have plenty of chance for taking photo of Vietnamese farmers tilling the vast green paddy field.
Arrival Halong Bay, enjoy 04 hours boat cruise on Halong bay _ listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. The trip will bring you an unforgettable memory of Halong Bay. Especially a fresh seafood lunch is served on board during cruise. Boat will stop at Thien Cung cave and Dau Go caves for sightseeing. Late afternoon, transfer back Hanoi and free at leisure.

DAY 6: HANOI CITY – HUE (1HRS BY FLIGHT)

We follow this with a trip to the Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam built in 1070 and Ethnological Museum, the most interesting museum in Hanoi. Afternoon, transfer to Airport for flight to Hue.. Arrival Hue, transfer to hotel for check in.

DAY 7: HUE FULL DAY CITY TOUR

With an area of 500ha and a system of three circles of ramparts, namely from outside to inside: Kinh Thanh Hue (Hue Capital Citadel), Hoang Thanh (Royal Citadel) and Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Citadel) and Khai Dinh Tomb _ In comparison with those of the preceding emperors, it is very elaborate. It is the result of the interminglement of many architectural trends: European and Asian, as well as ancient and modern. Stop at Dong Ba market for shopping. Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon,  we cruise along the Perfume River. Being the former royal capital, Hue's surrounding countryside contains several of the tombs of the former Nguyen Emperors to visit Minh Mang Tomb. Back to the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, It is an active Buddhist monastery with its origins dating back to 1601. Overnight at hotel in Hue.

DAY 8: HUE – DANANG – HOIAN (135KMS/ 3HRS DRIVE)

The scenic road is hugging the coastline before crossing over the winding Hai Van pass. A view from the top of the pass is one of Vietnam’s most impressive panoramic scenes. We stop en route to visit the Cham Museum in Danang City, the Lang Co beach and the Marble Mountain, whose peaks represent the five elements of the universe and proceed to Hoi An.

Arrival Hoian, check in hotel then take city tour to visit  the ancient architecture of Hoian is a fascinating combination of Vietnamese traditional characters with Chinese and Japanese influence. There are  plenty to see in this delightful town, some of which are  the famous Japanese Covered Bridges, the Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tamky House, the Chua Ong Pagoda, the vibrant market. Today we include these on a walking tour past many low tiled houses scattered along the small streets and assembly halls which reflect the town's multi-cultural past.End of day, free at leisure on Cua Dai beach or your own activities

DAY 9: HOIAN – FREE DAY

DAY 10: HOIAN – DANANG – HOCHIMINH  (1HRS BY FLIGHT)

Afternoon, take a Sai Gon city tour to visit to War Crime Museum which features a comprehensive collection of the machinery, weapons, photos, and documentation of Vietnam's wars with the both the French and Americans. Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975. Stop at Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Sai Gon Post Office , former US Embassy, Cho Lon including the Thien Hau Pagoda. The district is home to the city's 400,000 Chinese and has many beautiful temples and pagodas. During our tour we will also visit the Emperor Jade Pagoda (Phuoc Hai), one of the most interesting pagodas in Vietnam. Overnight at hotel in Hochiminh.

DAY 11: HOCHIMINH - CUCHI TUNNELS

The Vietcong built a 200km long network of tunnels connecting command posts, hospitals, shelter and weapon factories. Dug out of hard laterite by hand tools without the use of cement, this amazing network was never discovered. Lunch at local restaurant.

DAY 12: HOCHIMINH – MYTHO – CAN THO  (DRIVE)

Today we take an excursion to My Tho.  We will be traveling past miles of flat rice fields, along a bustling High Way. On arrival at My Tho, we embark on a boat to Thoi Son Island where we will be entertained with traditional music.  We will then change to a paddle boat to cruise through the narrow canals and visit home grown industries like coconut candy and rice-wine making. We next travel by motorized boat to another Mekong island to visit a bee farm and try tea with fresh honey from the beehives and enjoy fresh seasonal fruits, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up and catch a view dotted by many islands. As we return to My Tho there will be a visit to the Vinh Trang Pagoda.  Deep fried “Elephant ear fish” rolled with rice papper lunch with traditional food.

Cai Rang Floating Market Vietnam Tours: 17 Days - The Untouched Laos, Vietnam & Cambodia

DAY 13: CAN THO – CHAU DOC (DRIVE)

Early morning boat trip to visit Cai Rang floating market Afterwards visit a fruit orchard and taste the tropical fruits of the Mekong Delta. Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon, transfer by car from Cantho to Chaudoc. On the way, we will stop to visit by boat to the Bang Lang stork sanctuary in Thot Not, which also offers the view of the local peaples vivid life on the water. Visit Sam mountain, Lady Xu Temple, Thoai Ngoc Hau Temple, floating fish farm and boat trip to Cham Pa Village.

DAY 14: CHAU DOC – PHNOM PENH  (SPEED BOAT 6HRS)

This morning, board a speedboat from the hotel’s pier and cross over the border into Cambodia. Arrive in Phnom Penh and transfer to hotel for check in. . The treasures include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90 kilos and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. And then move to National Museum of Fine Arts, next to the Royal Palce was dedicated by king Sisowath in 1920. Over 5000 objects are on display including Angkorian era statues, lingas and other artifacts, most notabley the legentary statue of the “Leper King” Though the emphasis is on Angkorian artifacts, there is also a good collection of pieces from later periods, including a special exhibition pf post-Angkorian Buddha figures. Then visit Wat Phnom, a small hill crowned by an active wat (pagoda) marks the legendary founding place of the Phnom Penh.
